10 & Under
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has developed a program that focuses on youths ages five through ten. WPTA calls it our {ten and under} component. To ensure that each junior is able to grasp the basics of tennis, the program uses shorter racquets, lighter balls and a smaller court. With smaller courts, shorter racquets, and lower bouncing balls, younger players will achieve greater physical activity and feel successful at tennis right from the start. We have qualified instructors who are committed to teaching juniors the necessary techniques that will advance them to the next level of play which is played with a slightly heavier ball. This program runs October through April at the Scarborough East Tennis Club, and June through August at Wolfe Park, located on the corner of E. Broad and Nelson.A.C.E. Scholastic Awards

Outdoor Clinic
Our outdoor summer clinic runs from June through August at Wolfe Park, located on the corner of Broad St. and Nelson Rd.
The focus of this clinic is to introduce tennis to those who are seriously interested in learning the game and making it a lifetime sport. Juniors will learn the proper stroke techniques that will prepare them for high school play and beyond. A select number from our summer session juniors will be invited to participate in the Ace with Love Junior Tennis Academy, held October through April each year, at the Scarborough East Tennis Club.

The Ace with Love Junior Tennis Academy
WPTA hosts its Ace with Love Junior Tennis Academy from October through April, indoors, at the Scarbourough East Tennis Club. A fee for play will be charged each month.
The Academy’s objective and emphasis is the development and enhancement of every aspect of a player’s game. This will ultimately take each player’s game to the next level leading to tournament, high school and advanced levels of playing. A player must have participated in the priors year’s indoor season with WPTA, or have prior approval (after a skills evaluation) by a WPTA coaching staff member in order to qualify for the indoor academy. Numbers will be limited to only those who show the initiative, drive and proper attitude towards their own developmental objectives, coupled with family support for the program.
The Academy will not accept first time players to the sport; they are encouraged to attend our outdoor clinic. Those new to the Academy must, again, be evaluated to determine if they have the necessary skills to participate.
